Few things kept Element founder Johnny Schillereff grounded in his dysfunctional youth - but skateboarding was one of them. When Johnny eventually left the chaos behind, he stood armed with two things: his skateboard, and a desire to create something positive. He started work then, on a dream that would be realized in 1992 with Element Skateboards: creating a skate and apparel company that people from all walks of life could identify with, categorized by the four elements: wind, water, earth, and fire. Today, Element has expanded their line even further into girls' styles, including jackets, dresses, tops, and sweaters. It's likely that there's no end to Element's blistering success, but to find out we're just going to have to hang on for the ride.
